Manchester United is interested in signing Gonzalo Higuain

Higuain has become Ferguson's priority

Alex Ferguson has made Higuain his first focus

Gonzalo Higuain, a player for Real Madrid from Argentina, may be headed to England after catching Alex Ferguson’s eye at Manchester United. Since Higuain has been in such outstanding form in La Liga this year, he might want to give the English Premier League a try. Ferguson is looking for the ideal striker to join star player Wayne Rooney because he recognizes that United needs a major facelift.

Higuain, 22, is regarded as one of the most lethal attackers in Europe and has scored 26 goals for Real Madrid in Spain’s La Liga this season, second only to Argentina teammate Lionel Messi of Barcelona with 31.

Even though Higuain is pleased in Madrid, there have been rumors that he and Portuguese teammate Cristiano Ronaldo don’t get along, which might result in Higuain leaving the Bernabeu.

According to rumors, Manchester United has bid €30 million for Higuain’s services to Real Madrid. Given that he is the club’s primary source of goals, it is unclear if the Spaniards will be prepared to let the player leave.

Higuain has lately been sought by Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal, so United will have a lot of competition if they want to acquire him.

Carlos Tevez, the last Argentine to play for United, left the team for cross-town rivals Manchester City due to a disagreement with Ferguson.
