Trezeguet wants to leave Corinthians

French attacker David Trezeguet wants to leave Juventus for the Timao, according to Corinthians left-back Roberto Carlos. Having added a ton of talent, including that of Carlos, Ronaldo, Edu, Iarley, and Danilo, Corinthians is one of the favorites to win the 2010 Copa Libertadores this year.

Roberto Carlos confirmed to the media that he spoke with one of Trezeguet’s acquaintances last week and learned of his wish to sign with Corinthians.

David is eager to play for Corinthians, according to a buddy from France who is a close friend of Trezeguet who called me last week, said Roberto Carlos to Lance.

Trezeguet, 32, has seven goals in Serie A for Juventus this season, but he hasn’t been able to nail down a spot in the team’s starting lineup. The attacker wants to play for a major club and is eager to return to South America.

Trezeguet, a French footballer, wants to join the Corinthians. Carlos, who joined Corinthians in December, said, “They tell me he doesn’t speak about any other club; he speaks only Corinthians.

Trezeguet began his career with the Argentine club Platense in 1993 and won the World Cup with France in 1998. In recent months, River Plate and Boca Juniors have both expressed interest in signing him.
